Anna Gunn: Eila Rose Duncan’s Mother

Anna Gunn is an American actress whose television work includes Deadwood, The Practice, and AMC’s Breaking Bad. Her best-known character is Skyler White, wife of Bryan Cranston’s Walter White.

Gunn’s work on Breaking Bad brought major industry recognition. She won the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series in 2013 and again in 2014. The Television Academy lists two Emmy wins from three nominations.

Those awards came during the show’s period of strong critical acclaim and helped make Gunn a recognizable television figure. Her career also includes film and stage performance, giving Eila a direct family connection to the showbiz industry.

Alastair Duncan: Eila Rose Duncan’s Father

Alastair Duncan is a Scottish actor who was born in Edinburgh and later established his career in Los Angeles. He has worked in television, film, animation, video games, and real estate.

His voice work includes Alfred Pennyworth in The Batman franchise. Gamers may know him better as Mimir in God of War and God of War Ragnarök.

In 2026, Duncan’s connection to the franchise expanded again when he was cast to reprise Mimir in Prime Video’s live-action God of War series.

His earlier credits also span projects such as Highlander, Warlords Battlecry, Westworld, and voice roles connected with Alfred Pennyworth. Alongside acting and voice-over work, Duncan has worked as a California real estate agent.

Emma Duncan: Eila Rose Duncan’s Older Sister

Emma Duncan is Eila’s older sister and the first daughter of Anna Gunn and Alastair Duncan. PEOPLE identified Emma as five years old when Eila was born in September 2006, placing her birth around 2001.

The sisters are the former couple’s two daughters. Emma has appeared in limited family-related public coverage, but she has not developed a major independent celebrity profile.

Anna Gunn and Alastair Duncan’s Marriage, Separation, and Divorce

Anna Gunn married Alastair Duncan in 1990. Duncan filed for divorce in 2008, and their 19-year marriage officially ended in 2009. They share two children, Emma and Eila.

A later financial dispute involved child support and income earned during Gunn’s Breaking Bad success. Reporting tied to the case placed Duncan’s earnings at roughly $10,000 per month from acting and real estate work, while Gunn’s television income had grown sharply by 2014.

The divorce is part of Eila’s documented family history, but details about everyday co-parenting, private family arrangements, or financial security have remained outside her own public profile.

Why Is Eila Rose Duncan Famous?

Eila is famous mainly because she is Anna Gunn’s daughter. Her name became searchable as Breaking Bad grew from an AMC drama into a major television phenomenon.

Her Connection to Anna Gunn and Breaking Bad

Breaking Bad premiered in 2008, when Eila was still a young child. Anna Gunn’s portrayal of Skyler White later earned two Emmy wins and placed the actress among the show’s best-known cast members.

That success created public interest in Gunn’s family, including her daughters. Eila’s celebrity-child status therefore comes from her famous mother and family background rather than from an independent entertainment career.

Was Eila Rose Duncan in Breaking Bad?

No verified acting credit places Eila Rose Duncan in Breaking Bad. Anna Gunn played Skyler White, but Eila is known through that family connection rather than as an actress or credited performer on the series.

Eila Rose Duncan’s Early Life and Childhood Away From the Spotlight

Public information about Eila’s childhood is limited. What can be placed clearly is the timeline surrounding her mother’s rise to global stardom.

Growing Up During Anna Gunn’s Rise to Fame

Eila was born in Los Angeles in 2006. Breaking Bad arrived in 2008, so much of her childhood overlapped with the period when Anna Gunn’s television career reached its peak.

Gunn faced growing public scrutiny as Skyler White became one of television’s most discussed characters. At home, however, Eila remained a child rather than part of the entertainment industry’s public-facing side.

A Carefully Protected Childhood

Eila did not become a regular feature of press tours, premieres, paparazzi coverage, or tabloid reporting. Her school, friendships, everyday routines, and home life largely stayed private.

That low profile also kept ordinary details about her childhood away from public scrutiny. She remained a private minor despite having parents whose professional lives attracted media attention.

Eila Rose Duncan’s Public Appearances and Media Exposure

Family-related event coverage has more often featured Anna Gunn and Emma Duncan than Eila. Public photographs connected with events such as the 2012 BAFTA LA TV Tea at The London Hotel documented Gunn’s wider family life without turning Eila into a regular public figure.

Entertainment coverage from this period also mentioned industry events and charity activity involving figures such as Nigel Lythgoe. Descriptions of matching outfits and cancer-fundraiser appearances relate to that wider media environment, but they do not establish a sustained public profile for Eila.

Her media exposure has therefore remained low compared with many celebrity children.

Eila Rose Duncan and Anna Gunn’s Health and Fitness Story

Anna Gunn publicly discussed a health problem after the 65th Emmy Awards in September 2013. She said illness had affected her weight while filming Breaking Bad and that cortisone caused swelling and weight gain. She later said she had recovered.

Gunn made those comments after the September 22, 2013 ceremony in Los Angeles, where her award season placed her under heavy media scrutiny. She did not publicly identify the illness, so describing it specifically as lupus would go beyond her own account.

Reports about her healthier routines have also linked Pilates and time with her daughters to her fitness. Eila’s youthful energy became part of that family-focused account rather than a separate public health story.

Eila Rose Duncan’s Education, Career, and Current Life

Eila reached adulthood in 2024. Her education and professional direction have remained much more private than her parents’ careers.

Education and College Status

No verified public record identifies Eila’s high school, college, university, degree, or academic field. Claims about private education or a particular school should therefore not be treated as established biographical facts.

Her educational history and personal interests remain part of her private life rather than her public identity.

Does Eila Rose Duncan Have a Career?

Eila has no clearly established public-facing career as of 2026. There is no verified credited project showing her working professionally as an actress or model.

She also has no established public profile as an influencer or entrepreneur. Labels such as artist or entertainment professional likewise lack a confirmed career record.

She may be a student or pursuing another professional direction privately, but no official profile or interview establishes a job.

There is also no confirmed current residence, educational program, or public career plan attached to her name. Her current life remains separate from the professional attention surrounding her famous family.

No widely verified Instagram account is publicly established as Eila’s official profile. The same applies to TikTok and X.

Unverified Facebook or Twitter profiles should not automatically be treated as hers. She has not built the kind of authenticated social media presence normally associated with an influencer.

Her limited media presence also means there are few official statements about career plans or personal choices.

Eila Rose Duncan’s Net Worth and Financial Claims

Eila Rose Duncan does not have a verified personal net worth. Figures attached to Anna Gunn or Alastair Duncan represent parental or family wealth, not Eila’s own finances.
